Stella
includes classical, Irish and modern music in her repertoire,
though this is by no means a definitive list. Generally, she works with her own
organist/piano player, but this can be augmented with additional instruments,
e.g. violin, cello or flute. She also regularly performs with a string
quartet or string trio. If you are required to book your own church's
accompanist, she can work with him/her. Although based in Dublin, Stella
travels nationwide. She can also work as a solo artist – playing and singing
in the church. She is also available to
play light jazz for your pre-dinner drinks reception. See here for details. Finally,
please see below for my help on how and what to choose for your
wedding ceremony music. |

Do bear in mind that if you are
getting married in a church, you should check the final music repertoire with
your priest or celebrant, as occasionally non-liturgical music (and on rare
occasions instrumental music, depending on the context within which it was
written) is considered inappropriate. If you have a particular favourite song
or piece of music you'd like us to include, we'd be delighted to oblige, once
you give us plenty of notice to learn it properly, and as long as it's
appropriate to the ceremony. In addition, you may also wish to have some parts
of the Mass such as Alleluia, Holy Holy, Acclamation, Our Father etc sung.
Please click on the blue midi
files below to listen to them. By the way, don't worry about the quality of the
files, which are downloads of basic quality; their function is merely to help
you recognise the music, and hence feel more confident about choosing your own ceremony
music.
For December weddings, don't forget to consider such Christmas
favourites as O Holy Night, Silent Night, Away in a Manger> etc.
