Last November Stella undertook her first one-woman show. “Schall und Rauch” (Sound and Smoke) which paid tribute to the music and cabaret
of the inter-war Berlin period. The show is due to tour in 2009 having opened
to rave reviews, including that of eminent Irish Senator and Joycean Scholar
David Norris:
“I so much enjoyed that wonderful evening of cabaret in
the Cobalt Cafe and as I remarked on the night I have been lucky enough to hear
Marlene Dietrich herself singing Lili Marlene and Louis Armstrong singing Mack
the Knife and your performance could stand honourable with either of these two
great artists. Well done. Bravo. I shall watch this space for your further
meteoric rise in showbiz”.
